It started in a house.
A small-batch coffee company, built on two things.
Monaco's Coffee Co. is a small-batch roaster based in Cleveland, Ohio. We're not trying to be the biggest name in coffee. We're trying to be the most honest one.
That means two commitments we don't compromise on. The first is the coffee itself. Every batch is third-party lab tested, roasted in small runs, and contains nothing but coffee. No preserves, no dyes, no flavorings, no added sugar, no artificial anything. What's on the label is what's in the bag, and we can prove it.
The second is who we're doing it for. Coffee has always been about the people who make it and the people they make it for. Not a supply chain. A relationship. That's the standard the woman on our bag represents, and it's the standard we hold every batch to.
Before Monaco's was a company, it was a pot of coffee on a stove at home. The caretaker of that home wasn't making it just for her. She made it for whoever showed up. Family, neighbors, people who stayed too long. We wanted to replicate that homey feel in our blend.
It was the routine that helped connect a community together under one house.
That's the coffee we put in the bag. Same blend, same reason.

She isn't just anyone. She's the caretaker. The one up before everyone else. The one who had coffee brewing before anyone asked for it. Mothers, grandmothers, aunts. None of them asked for anything in return.
She's on every bag we sell. That's the standard we hold every one of our blends to.
The illustration is drawn from younger photos of my late mother, Kathy Henson, who passed from brain cancer in 2023. She's the reason this brand looks the way it does, and the reason it means what it means.
